Your RIGHTS vs your "privileges"
The Second Amendment to the US Constitution specifically provides "the right of the people to keep and bear arms." Just as you don't need a license to access your First Amendment right to free speech, you certainly don't don't need a license to access your Second Amendment right to bear arms. No regulations of arms by the federal government, in any way shape or form, is legal according to our Constitution. When the Constitution was written, arms such as cannons and mortars were available, but the Constitution does not make exceptions for these arms, so why do we allow the federal government and/or some states to make exceptions for "assault weapons", or any weapons, we have the RIGHT to bear arms, and any laws stating otherwise are not only violating one of our guaranteed rights, but are unconstitutional. We certainly would not permit a state or municipality to "license" our free speech (although many would say that the FCC does this, they should not) so why do we tolerate their laws that license any other right. We don't need a "license" to have a fair trial by jury, we have the right to that trial. It is unacceptable that states are being permitted to regulate, and earn money, on the licensing of guns.

That's crazy, EVERYONE would carry a gun!
So what? Suppose everyone carried a gun, then what? If you shoot me with your gun, you broke a law, either discharging a firearm type of law, or maybe you are guilty of murder or attempted murder. Owning a gun doesn't make someone a criminal, it is their RIGHT to own a gun. What makes someone a criminal is breaking some (constitutional) law. If you "brandish your weapon", that is still illegal, but if you want to strap your weapon to your waist and carry it with you when you get your morning coffee, good for you, it's almost like exercise to carry the extra weight around; kind of pointless, you can't shoot anyone or anything with the gun, but it is your RIGHT to carry your weapon around.

You're still crazy, at least SOME license requirements?
No. There are speed limit signs on the Parkway here in Jersey and presumably everyone driving on the parkway is licensed which means that they understand how to drive and know what those signs mean and the police know that just about everyone is breaking the law and they could stop and ticket every single driver on the road but those people will still speed. People continue to break the law and speed on down to the road; criminals will be criminals regardless of what the signs and laws require; and the police don't have the means to prevent every crime anyhow. You criminals continue to speed and likewise, with every gun law, criminals will still continue to possess guns. More laws just makes more criminals and with 1 in 100 Americans currently in jail or prison, the last thing we need is more laws.

Additionally, suppose that there was no "driver license" and you claim your "Right to Travel", which I personally think is an acceptable stance, you are still guilty of crimes such as "speeding" or "illegal left turn, use the jughandle" - not having licenses doesn't make laws and regulations null and void, it just means that the government is not doing something unconstitutional and violating your rights. Not having a license to own a gun doesn't mean you are going to murder someone, in fact, your car would probably make a better and more accessible murder weapon than a gun - just consider next time you're driving down the road and see a double yellow line how easy it would be for the driver coming head on to swing into your lane with their big ol' SUV and kill (murder) you. Or Maybe next time you are walking down the sidewalk, think if that 3" curb is really going to stop some murderer from driving up on the sidewalk and murdering you. Or what about that red traffic light or stop sign, easy enough to drive through as there is nothing physically stopping you, so what does the license really do aside from make the state some money? Plenty of people who are licensed to drive break the laws every day, does the license really prevent any crimes? If you have no license and obey all of the driving laws, is there any reason for the police to stop you? Would anyone know that you don't have a license if you don't break a law? So if you own a gun and you don't break a law, would anyone know you own the gun? They shouldn't because it is your RIGHT to own the gun, and you have a RIGHT to own property and a RIGHT for that property to be protected from the government.

State Law should NEVER supersede the RIGHTS you are granted by the federal government via the US Constitution and any and all laws that limit or regulate your rights must be abolished immediately.
