Brunswick and Rutgers Law School in Newark. Mr. McLeod also served as a member

Why Bob McLeod for US Congress?
Bob McLeod is running for Congress because of his concern that the most
important business of this nation is not being addressed. Everywhere Robert
McLeod looks serious problems are ignored while Congress members grandstand at
photo opportunities and pander to the demands of special interest groups.
Social Security and Medicare continue to plummet towards financial ruin unless
Congress acts and a gravely needed "bill of rights" for airline passengers
stagnates in committee while they argue over roadblocks set up by the
airlines. In stark contrast Congress in a few days produced a worthless
"economic stimulus" giveaway which will do nothing except waste needed tax
dollars by sending everyone a few hundred dollars. This "drop in the bucket"
will do nothing to correct the problem caused by their failure to adequately
regulate the financial institutions.
These are just a few of the reasons Bob McLeod is running for Congress. Bob
McLeod is a retired municipal court judge and municipal attorney with no
conflicts of interest or financial interests to distract him from serving the
interests of the people of the Sixth District, not just the interests of
people who organize photo ops. Bob McLeod recognizes that one Congressman is
less than one fifth of one percent of the problem in Washington, but every
bridge is started with the first piling.
In the varying capacities Robert McLeod has served, he has worked with
municipal budgets as chairman of the finance committee of the Keyport Borough
Council, assisted in the formulation and proposal of budgets as municipal
court judge, assisted in the negotiation of employment contracts, and gained
experience in the varied other aspects of local government.
Bob McLeod has also seen first hand the impact of uncontrolled immigration and
rising health care costs both on the towns and the people. The costs imposed
by illegal immigration are only one part of the increased financial demands
being imposed on our businesses, governments and citizens.
If elected Robert McLeod will work to combine tort reform, immigration
enforcement, regulatory reform, meaningful insurance choice and adequate
funding to ensure the preservation of the best aspects of American health
care and its extension to those not presently covered.
